Toddlers should be dressed in functional warm clothing. This fully applies to knitted things, especially since knitting for babies is especially pleasant and quite simple, given the small size of the product.
Instructions
Step 1
Get your materials ready. To knit a sweater, you will need yarn (two hundred grams), knitting needles number two and a half or a hook, two buttons for a fastener on the shoulder and, of course, desire. Choosing yarn for knitting for a kid, you must first of all focus on its naturalness. So stick with cotton or wool depending on the season. Knitting needles or crochet hooks are usually chosen so that their thickness is comparable to the thickness of the thread.
Step 2
Before starting knitting, you need to make a sample of twenty loops in twenty rows. This will allow not only to imagine how the product will behave in the process of wearing and washing, but also to calculate the required number of loops based on the size of the finished product.
Step 3
For the front, cast forty-eight loops and tie with an elastic band three centimeters, and then continue knitting with the front satin stitch. In the first odd row, add ten loops evenly. Knit the resulting fifty-eight loops to a height of fourteen centimeters. On the right in every second row for knitting the left sleeve, add five times six loops (eighty-eight loops in total). When the height of the product is twenty-five centimeters, the last forty-four loops should be closed to form the neckline and right shoulder, and then re-set in the next row and knit the back by analogy with the front.
Step 4
To knit the right sleeve, dial eighteen loops and knit with an elastic band three centimeters, as on the details of the front and back. After adding eighteen loops evenly in the last row, continue knitting with satin stitch. In this case, in every seventh row, one loop should be added on both sides, and at a height of sixteen centimeters, all loops should be closed.
Step 5
The right shoulder is sewn four centimeters long and the rest of the shoulder is sewn one centimeter inward. From the side of the back, loops are made, and buttons are sewn in front. An elastic band is separately tied on the left sleeve, the right sleeve is sewn symmetrically to the left, and then the shoulder and side seams are sewn.
