Step 1
The dosage of "Smekty" for babies under the age of one year is 1 sachet per day, which must be diluted in 50 ml of water and given during the day (in several doses).
Step 2
If the baby drinks from a bottle without any problems, then giving him a healing solution will be quite simple, and if not, you will have to use a spoon or syringe (no needle, 2 or 5 ml). At one time, it is enough for the child to drink 10-15 ml of the medicine, and even if he agrees to drink more, it should be continued after a few hours. The most important thing is to shake the bottle of solution thoroughly before giving it to your baby, because the medicine quickly settles to the bottom.
Step 3
You can also mix "Smecta" with the usual food for the baby - milk mixture or expressed breast milk, compote or juice, mashed potatoes, soup or porridge. Just do not pour the entire dose into one serving - one sachet should be distributed evenly throughout the day. Mix the medicine with a small portion of the meal and give it to your baby first to make sure the medicine goes to its intended purpose, even if he does not finish eating the entire serving. Be sure to mix the medicine thoroughly with liquid or food to prevent the powder from entering the child's airways.
Step 4
As for the duration of admission, even if everything quickly returned to normal, you need to drink Smecta for three days. It is during this period that she will have time to finally remove all remaining microbes from the body and restore the protective barrier in the intestine. If the doctor advised a longer course of treatment, listen to his recommendations. If in parallel with "Smekta" the doctor prescribed taking some other medications, then keep in mind that they should be taken no earlier than two hours after "Smekta" (or no later than an hour before taking it).
