Step 1
The "mountain ash" costume for a girl consists of a skirt, a blouse and a wreath. The main element will be the headdress. It will not be difficult to make it if you can still find rowan berries with purple berries in your yards. Pick up brushes 5-7 cm long and attach them to a white satin ribbon 80 cm long. It will need to be wrapped around the head and tied with a bow at the back of the head.
Step 2
If the wintering birds have already pecked the whole mountain ash, take a wide white ribbon, sew it to a rigid corset ribbon and make an applique on it. Fill the circles-berries with a hole punch made of red colored paper, glue them to the tape. Use a green and black felt-tip pen to draw twigs and leaves.
Step 3
You can sew a white blouse or take a ready-made one. Decorate it with appliqués along the sleeves, the same as on the ribbon. The chest will be decorated with rowan beads, if there is an opportunity to make them. Or the most common jewelry made of plastic red balls.
Step 4
The skirt can be made in two ways. Find a white fabric with red polka dots in the store, preferably chintz, satin, or linen. Cut out a circle with a radius equal to the length of the skirt plus 17 cm. In the center, cut a circle with a radius of 15 cm. Sew an elastic band and tuck the hem of the skirt. The skirt will look more voluminous if the girl wears a petticoat under it. It can be sewn from creolin or starched cotton fabric. It is cut out in the same way as a skirt.
Step 5
Instead of a skirt made of fabric with red polka dots, you can sew the same sun-flared skirt from scarlet fabric or use any existing skirt in white or red. Cut 10 rowan leaves out of green velvet paper or cardboard. They should be 2/3 or half the length of the skirt. Gather them on a string and sew to the waist of your skirt. If it happens when the leaves have not yet fallen from the trees, pick them from the mountain ash and tie them into a wreath that will serve as a belt.
Step 6
Decorate your white knee-highs or tights with a scattering of red paper circles. Live bunches of mountain ash or red beads can be attached to shoes.
