For example, from an old colorful skirt and a blouse that has been lying on the mezzanine for several years, you can make a gypsy costume for a girl - just complement the ensemble with massive bracelets, beads and tie a bright scarf on your hips. And the boy can be dressed up as a musketeer - it is not difficult to make a cape out of a blue curtain and embroider a silver cross on it. And the hat can be made out of paper or you can equip your grandfather's headdress with a large feather.
The second option is to rent or purchase a ready-made carnival costume. Here you will have no problem finding the outfit of a popular cartoon character or animal in the style of Anna Geddes. The simplest and not very expensive ones are sold in many large chains of children's goods stores; on the eve of the New Year, they are hung on separate racks. Unfortunately, in this case, there is a possibility that your little Rapunzel or Cinderella will not be alone at the New Year's carnival.
You can find more expensive children's costumes on the Internet, they, of course, will also not be exclusive, but the chances that your child will be the only Zorro or Pinocchio of this type increase.
And finally, you can make a do-it-yourself fancy dress from scratch, this is the most time-consuming of the listed options, but the result is worth it, because if your child decides that he wants to be a pachycephalosaurus, you are unlikely to find something suitable on sale. On the Internet, you will pick up simple patterns of outfits, it is enough to supplement them with details and change them based on the preferences of your child. And then sew and, of course, decorate. The cost of such a suit is likely to be higher than that purchased on the Internet.
And one more important point in creating a New Year's outfit is makeup, no matter how strange it may sound in relation to a small child. But imagine that your baby has to spend several hours in a tiger or squirrel costume, and even with a carnival mask on his face. But it's not easy to find a convenient option. Therefore, it is better to master the technique of depicting stripes, noses and tongues on the face with special paints or contact a specialist. With a drawn muzzle (if the image requires it), the child will be much more comfortable than with a mask.
