For children, the New Year is the most long-awaited holiday. They are always happy to help decorate the Christmas tree, set the table, prepare New Year's dinner. But sometimes adults in the festive bustle forget that an entertainment program should be prepared for kids too.

Step 1
Most of all, it will delight children if parents take part in the games with them. Prepare several entertainments: outdoor games, contests, quizzes, charades with New Year's key words. Prepare prizes in advance - small toys, sweets. Put on a New Year's-themed puppet show. Fairy tale characters can act out small scenes and congratulate all spectators on the upcoming holiday.
Step 2
Usually, the gifts that Santa Claus brings at midnight are received by children from his hands or found under the tree. You can change this tradition: hide small toys and surprises in different places of the apartment. Come up with clues - diagrams, riddles. In the evening, go looking for gifts with your children.
Step 3
If the weather is snowy, go out with your children to the yard or the street. Snowball games, making a snowman are wonderful New Year's entertainment. Ride the kids on sleds, arrange sports. Go to the town square with the whole family. A large Christmas tree always attracts the attention of children, and riding down the slides with mom and dad will be a great pleasure.
Step 4
Each parent is confident that his child has many talents. Run a New Years competition. Have participants play instruments, sing, dance, recite poems, and perform magic tricks. But any performance will need to be rewarded with a souvenir or a delicious prize. Help your child prepare ahead of time so that he or she feels confident during the New Year's Eve.

Do not forget to invite Santa Claus and Snegurochka to the New Year's celebration. Their role may well be fulfilled by one of the adults. Use ready-made scripts for the holiday or write your own.

Have a New Year's masquerade. Prepare costumes for children and adults. A fascinating costume party with performances by all guests will be remembered for a long time.
