Finding time and reading with children is the task of parents. What to read? Stories about good feelings and good deeds of people will be useful. This is presented in the works of V. Astafiev "Grandmother with raspberries" and "Strawberry" and Y. Yakovlev "Boy with skates".
Responsiveness is good
A sympathetic person cannot pass by the suffering person, cannot help but provide joy, cannot leave the patient unattended. It is simply necessary to tell the child about this. Otherwise, how does he know that helping people is good?
Granny with raspberries
Viktor Astafiev has a story "Grandmother with raspberries" about the guys who helped an elderly woman find joy.
A train stopped on the railway, and berry fields began to fill the carriage. Among the guys was an old woman who very quickly almost climbed onto the step. But unexpectedly, berries fell from her tuyeska, and soon it was almost empty.
She shouted that she would collect them, but the train had already started. In the carriage she was still in a desperate situation for a long time, her lips did not stop trembling, her tired hands were shaking. The schoolchildren gave way to her. She, once was happy, because she was the fastest picker of berries and a fun songwriter. And now it is empty in her basket - empty in her soul. The guys previously offered to help her bring the berries to the carriage, but she refused. One of the passengers called her awkward. She was very offended. And suddenly one man whispered a little with the guys, took out the grandmother's basket and began to collect in it handful by handful of raspberries, which the guys took from each of their dishes. At first, the grandmother resisted, explaining that she had never taken someone else's. The man praised the guys, calling them good guys and grandmother's grandchildren. Only now "their guess is small." And my grandmother was glad, called them cute, dear, orcas.
Strawberry
The same writer offers the story "Strawberry" about a brother and sister who could not leave a sick person alone with his grief. They tried to please him. They encouraged him in every way.
Brother and sister, Vanya and Nyura, met Uncle Solomin by the river when they were fishing. Friendship developed between an adult front-line soldier who lost his wife and son in the war, and the children.
He worked on the railroad and studied in absentia. Children loved to visit his house, went with him to the forest, fishing. Vanya was not given arithmetic. Ivan Pavlovich instilled in him the desire to delve into the essence of the problem and not to fantasize, taught him not to retreat in the face of difficulties. The guys' father died during the war.
Once Ivan Pavlovich was in trouble. A man got between the cars, and he decided to save him, and he injured his leg and ended up in the hospital. They wanted to amputate his leg. The guys were sad. Nyura began to cry, and then asked Vanya about the strawberries. The boy said that now there was no time for strawberries, and then he was very happy when he learned that strawberries could be collected for Uncle Solomin.
The berry has just ripened. But they managed to get a glass. Themselves ate only zelentsy.
They were not admitted to the hospital right away. When they entered the ward, Uncle Solomin was very surprised who could come to him. He had no relatives. The guys saw him and were scared of how his eyes looked - "even, indifferent." The guys were afraid that the leg had already been amputated, but then they noticed that everything was fine. They spoke at first in timid, trembling voices. Strawberries, it turns out, were one of Ivan Pavlovich's favorite berries. But he was sad about how he would then go for the berry. The guys began to tell how they even have a disabled person fishing on a piece of wood in their village. They told him an interesting story about this fisherman. Saying goodbye to the children dear to him, he asked them to bring him books for study.
Vanya's mother also came to visit. The children saw the joyful smile of Ivan Pavlovich and the same reciprocal smile from Nadezhda Nikolaevna. And they, too, felt happy.
Seeing the head physician, the children asked him if Uncle Solomin would have his leg amputated. The doctor replied that everything depends on them. Then they promised that every day they would feed strawberries and catch fish. He loves fish. On the way home, Nyura invited her brother to persuade all the guys from their street to go for strawberries and take them to the hospital.
Boy with Skates
Yuri Yakovlev talks about a caring boy who helped an elderly man. He felt bad, the boy noticed this and went up to him. Helped to get home. It turned out that the man's name was L. Bakhtyukov. He fought in the Great Patriotic War, was a foreman, and had the Order of the Red Banner. He was wounded and a splinter remained in his chest, which moved and caused bouts of pain.
Having brought Bakhtyukov home, the boy wanted to leave, but something got in the way. This man called him "sonny." For a boy who grew up without a father, this word was unfamiliar. He felt anxiety for this old man with a splinter in his chest.
The boy went to get the medicine, came back and saw that Bakhtyukov was lying with his eyes closed. The boy was afraid that he was dead. He rushed to call an ambulance. He ran to the machine, called, but realized that he did not know the patient's address. And suddenly I saw an ambulance driving by. He decided to stop her and stopped her. I told all the doctors and brought them to the sick man.
Bakhtyukov was taken to the hospital and operated on. The shard was removed. During the operation, the boy sat in the emergency room and waited for the result. While waiting, he thought that for some reason there were no people close to him with Bakhtyukov: his wife and son. They went to rest.
Before leaving for the hospital, Bakhtyukov asked the boy to send a telegram informing him that he was in the hospital, reassuring his family that everything was all right with him, and they didn’t have to worry.
But the skate boy was worried. He thought that if he had such a father as Bakhtyukhov, he would never leave him or leave him in danger. Therefore, the boy sat through the entire operation and waited for the result.
On that day, the boy just went to the rink, but fate brought him to the man who called him his son. In response, I wanted to call Bakhtyukov a father.
The boy came to visit the patient. The nurse told Bakhtyukov that his son had come. He was delighted and thought that the telegram had arrived, and a real son had arrived. He did not know that the telegram could not reach so quickly, and even more so that the son could not arrive so soon. He calmed down, and even the pain became weaker.
And the boy with skates was going to the rink again, skates under his arm, and in his palm was a splinter from Bakhtyukov's chest. The boy thought of a tall, big, strong man, whom he had missed all his life. And if he were his son, he would have dropped everything and rushed to help. I would always be there to hear such an unfamiliar, but necessary word for him all the time, "son" and in response to say with love: "Father …"
Let the children learn more about responsiveness as a human quality that has always been valued. It is gradually brought up in a person by parents, older relatives, teachers. And books are faithful helpers in instilling this quality.
