Is fidelity in marriage a natural human aspiration or a stereotype?
From time immemorial, when entering into marriage, spouses gave each other an oath of fidelity. In the Christian Bible, as well as in the sacred books of other religions, there are clear instructions that husband and wife should be faithful to each other. For believers, adultery is a grave sin. However, with the advent of the sexual revolution, the spread of contraception and safe sex, people's views on marital fidelity have changed somewhat. For treason, they are no longer whipped and kicked out of the house in shame. Often you can even hear the opinion that everyone is cheating on each other, and there is nothing wrong with that. There were such concepts as physical and spiritual betrayal, that physical betrayal, namely sex without love, does not mean anything. Is marital fidelity a relic of the past?
In fact, no matter what supporters of free love may impose on us, fidelity in marriage is a natural aspiration of a person, and cheating on a wife or husband is an absolutely abnormal behavior. A loving person can never calmly accept the betrayal of his soul mate. Likewise, a person who is happily married, sincerely loves and sexually satisfied will not look to the left. The only exceptions are people whose sexual promiscuity goes beyond the norm.
Cheating wife - blow below the belt
Marital fidelity was revered at all times, while adultery was severely condemned. However, the betrayal of men was always treated less severely, but if there was a betrayal of the wife, such behavior could cost her her life. Today, of course, unfaithful wives are not executed or imprisoned, but there are cases when a man beat or even killed his wife after learning about treason, there are also in our civilized world.
As practice shows, it is easier for a woman to survive her husband's betrayal. A man's wife's betrayal can hurt him for life. Men regard this as a blow below the belt and betrayal. Many are beginning to doubt their male usefulness, because since the wife went to the left, it means that she lacks something sexually.
Does a man need a faithful wife? Of course you do. No normal man wants to live with a walking woman. Marital fidelity is the stone on which all family life is built. Only a person who does not love or himself is not averse to looking for love on the side can calmly relate to the betrayal of his second half. If you are not ready to have sex with one person and be faithful to him, then there is no point in getting married.
