Modern emancipated ladies can dress in men's clothes, do not use makeup, earn no worse than many representatives of the stronger sex and defend their rights everywhere and everywhere.
Many modern women do not want to feel dependent on men even for such things as paying for coffee in a coffee shop or restaurant. Therefore, before a date, they immediately put the condition that they will pay for themselves. In this situation, after the meeting, they will not even subconsciously feel that they owe something to the gentleman who paid for them.
And this practice of relationship did not appear here and now. It originated in the second half of the 20th century and has been practiced for several decades.
During this time, men also managed to change. Many of them no longer feel greedy and stingy, refusing to pay for a girl on a date, because paying the coffee bill separately is quite a normal practice these days, isn't it?

Based on such considerations, young people from the first date try not to pay for a woman. They do not want to invest in relationships, not being sure that the girl will also invest in them something of herself.
