In addition to your stories, look for literary works, films in which smart people beat the strong. The child should understand that knowledge is the main way to achieve what you want in life.

Forbid belittling intellectuals in the family. Conversations on topics like "I wrote a dissertation on cybernetics, and now sells carrots on the market" is better not in the presence of a child. Knowledge, intelligence, a diploma are only a means, not an end in themselves. And from the fact that someone from your acquaintances could not use them to get a job in life, knowledge does not become less valuable. Better give examples of successful people who, with the help of good education and knowledge, were able to achieve a lot in this life.

Translate the learning process into a game. In addition to a global approach to convincing a child of the value of knowledge, it is also important to interest him in learning at a private level. Each child has their own interests. Someone is fond of horses, someone - dinosaurs, someone - trains. You can use your favorite objects for learning games. For example, a horse lover can solve math problems about horses, write essays about them, or compose dialogues in English.

Praise your child's aspirations for knowledge. Do not dismiss the questions irritably, buy books on the topic of interest to him, watch educational films together. There is no need to scold a child for mistakes, tell him that everyone makes mistakes on the way to the truth. Praise any achievements the child has gained along the path to knowledge. This will help you further interest him in his studies.
