With the onset of summer, the most wonderful time for schoolchildren begins. Homework is forgotten, often like a bad dream, lessons are over, classes in sections are suspended. Freedom!

What if you have to spend your summer vacation in the city?
What if you have to spend your summer vacation in the city?

The parents are faced with a serious question - how to organize the child's leisure time in a fun, entertaining and useful way.

A large amount of free time during the summer holidays gives the child the opportunity to play enough, chat with friends, move more and spend time for pleasure. And this is great! But leaving your child's free time unattended is not worth it. And so that control is not harsh and tedious, spend more summer leisure time together. And we have prepared recipes for the best joint holiday for you.

Summer in the city is not boring

Unfortunately, not every parent has the opportunity to take a schoolchild to a dacha, and even more so to the sea, but you can also find an interesting pastime in the city.

In cities there is a wide variety of entertainment centers, parks, mass events are held. It is a pity that such pleasures are quite expensive for the family.

Even if you sit down, you have absolutely no opportunity for this kind of entertainment, you can always walk to the nearest park, and perhaps free events will take place in the city - concerts dedicated to holidays, festivals or open days in the museum.

You can go to a neighboring area or city, explore local sights and wander the streets. A change of scenery greatly expands consciousness.

Sometimes, the weather lets you down, or you just don't want to go anywhere. Then you can find many interesting activities at home:

  1. Teach your child about needlework. If you know how to knit, embroider, sew, burn wood, summer is the best time to share your skills with your child. Such activities not only bring you closer, but also increase your authority. And if you don't have any special skills, then why not learn something interesting together.
  2. An activity that can bring a large family together is board games. Go to a specialized game store or bookstore, which usually has a good selection too. Choose a game that suits your family's temperament. Perhaps it will be something intellectual, or vice versa, the one in which you need to move; quiet or noisy.
  3. Add puzzles. Big and small. Sit back on the floor and spend a quiet summer evening in quiet entertainment and conversation. Through such conversations, you will be able to get to know your child better, and he you.
  4. Start building your collection. An excellent option for summer is flowers, leaves (they can be dried and made into a herbarium), various pebbles. This will develop in the child curiosity and attentiveness to the world around him.

But, of course, it is better to spend as much time as possible outside.

Adults have a lot of tasks and responsibilities, and often, in the summer, they have to leave the child unattended. Important! A child of elementary grades should not walk unaccompanied. No matter how great the weather outside, safety comes first. As busy as possible, try to find a few hours to spend time with your child.

Go swimming together and, if you can, teach your child to swim. Tell us about the rules of conduct on the water. Teach middle-aged children to give first aid, and if you are a toddler, study local frogs and ants, pebbles and shells.

It is very good to get out for a whole day, or even a couple of days, for fishing. Learning to fish and cook fish soup over a fire - which could be more interesting for a teenager.

And here are a couple more interesting ideas

Moreover, interesting for both children and parents.

Go rollerblading and biking together. Even if you don't have your own, more and more rental points are opening now.

Learn a foreign language together. It may not be worth taking on Chinese, but it never hurts to improve English. Or maybe add Italian, French or Portuguese to your knowledge base? Learn 10 words every day, and by the end of summer you will have a good vocabulary.

Summer is a wonderful time, and summer holidays provide a great opportunity to get closer to your student, learn a lot, find new hobbies, and have a great time.
