It is necessary

For a beet mix: - 350 g of beets; - 2 apples; - 3 carrots

Instructions

Step 1

With a number of beneficial properties, beetroot juice can be introduced into the diet of a child at the age of eight months. But concentrated beet juice can cause nausea and even vomiting, so you need to gradually teach your baby to it. In addition, it is not very pleasant to the taste; it is better to use beet juice diluted.

Step 2

Choose a medium-sized, cylindrical root vegetable for the juice. The beets should be firm to the touch, dark cherry in color, without white streaks.

Step 3

Thoroughly wash the beets under running water with a brush, cut off the remaining leaves, scald the root vegetable with boiling water and peel. Grate the beets on a plastic grater, squeeze the resulting mass through two layers of sterile gauze. You can use a manual juicer to make beetroot juice.

Step 4

Beetroot juice should not be given freshly squeezed to the child, so leave the juice to stand for two hours. Then dilute with boiled water in a ratio of 1: 2 or 1: 3 (for one part of juice, 2-3 parts of water). You can also mix it with carrot and apple juices or rosehip decoction. Start giving your child beet juice with one drop. If no allergic reaction occurs, gradually increase the volume to one to two teaspoons per day.

Step 5

For older children, prepare a beetroot mix. Wash the beets well and peel them. Then cut into slices and pass through a juicer or grate and squeeze the juice from the resulting gruel with gauze. Be sure to let the juice sit for two hours.

Step 6

Wash, peel carrots and apples. Juice them. Then combine all three juices and stir thoroughly. The following proportion of juices is recommended: 50 g of beetroot, 50 g of carrot and 70 g of apple.

Step 7

Beetroot juice is an effective treatment for the common cold. Prepare juice from beets, mix it with boiled water in a 2: 1 ratio (for 2 drops of juice, 1 drop of water). Instill 2-3 times a day, 2 drops in each nostril.
