The use of a breast pump is usually resorted to if the mother cannot feed the baby herself, is forced to leave or plans to take medications. Sometimes pumping is resorted to when cracks in the nipples or when there is a large amount of milk, especially when breastfeeding is established. In any of these cases, it is necessary to observe hygiene and sterilize the breast pump and other necessary accessories.
Step 3
Before starting for children, or baby soap. This can be done by hand or in the dishwasher. All utensils necessary for feeding (bottles, milk storage containers) must also be thoroughly rinsed.

You can steam sterilize your breast pump. With this method of sterilization, there will be no plaque on the parts, which inevitably forms during boiling. To do this, pour some water into a saucepan, put a colander on top, put a breast pump and a bottle in it. In this case, the colander should be covered with a lid. It is necessary to hold the breast pump over the steam for 20-30 minutes after the water boils.
