Autism is a disorder that manifests itself in the child's inability to form social bonds. It immerses the baby inside itself, makes him perform actions and deeds that are incomprehensible to those around him. Autism can manifest itself both in mild forms, when the child, upon initial examination, seems to be completely healthy, and in severe, characterized by obvious signs of mental disabilities.
Another form of perception
From the very beginning of life, the way a child with autism builds up their relationships with others is expressed in very strange manifestations, this applies to both outsiders and their own mother. Children may simply not notice the presence of other people, refuse to play with peers, have communication disorders, deviations from the normal development of the speech apparatus, and have poor control of their own limbs.
Autistic people are often unable to maintain dialogues or clearly express their thoughts, their phrases and snippets of sentences cause difficulties even for relatives and friends. They do not pay attention to the voice, avoid eye contact.
Autistic children are characterized by increased sensitivity to environmental phenomena, it can be both tactile and sensory sensations. The patient may not tolerate the sensation of clothes touching the skin, hate walking on the grass or sand with bare feet, and is acutely aware of noisy companies or music. As a rule, autistic people suffer from acute phobias, they are afraid of closed doors, water, buzzing, outbreaks.
Socialization and rejection
Such children often show a very strange reaction to everyday things or events familiar to many, surround themselves with all sorts of rituals: they demand to use only a certain towel, read only certain books or magazines, ask to cook the same food.
The child can repeat the same actions, for example, swing from side to side, fiddle with fingers, hair. All attempts by others to stop it cause unreasonable aggression.
Autistic people are fixated on rotating and unscrewing objects, they can sit for hours for the same simple action. A very strange manifestation of autism is an unreasonable love of things, a child can passionately love a paper clip, a piece of paper, a pencil.
Autistic children, unlike ordinary children, do not need the constant presence of their parents, do not follow their heels, can sit for hours all alone, are stingy with the emotions that they show through crying, screaming or gesturing.
Despite all of the above, autistic children cannot be called stupid, many of them show special talents in mathematics, music, painting.
