You are going on vacation abroad and want to take your child with you. Perhaps this is your first trip together. I would like everything to go smoothly so that there are no problems with obtaining a visa. The most important thing is to correctly draw up all the documents.
Instructions
Step 1
Registration of a foreign passport.
When traveling abroad, according to the rules adopted from March 1, 2010, the child must have his own foreign passport. Previously, one of the parents could “enter” the child into his passport. This rule has now been canceled. Parents can still "enter" the child in the passport, but this can only serve as proof that the child traveling with you is yours. At the same time, passports issued before March 1, 2010 remain valid until their expiration date.
A passport for a child is drawn up by parents or his legal representatives. The following documents are submitted to the FMS department:
1. Application form (filled in 2 copies).
2. Original and copy of birth certificate.
3. To confirm Russian citizenship, the department of the FMS puts a seal on the back of the birth certificate.
4. Russian passport (original and copy) of the parent on whose behalf the child's foreign passport is issued.
5. 4 photos (photos are taken at the FMS department, so the presence of the child is necessary).
The passport is issued within 10 working days.
Step 2
Registration of consent for the departure of the child.
If a child leaves with one of the parents, then he needs consent to leave from the second parent. Under Russian law, such a document is not required, but it is better to issue it, since many countries require it upon entry.
The consent to leave is drawn up by a notary. Parents submit the following documents:
1. Your Russian passports.
2. Birth certificate of the child (as well as documents confirming the relationship, if the child has a different surname).
It is also necessary to provide information about the purpose and timing of departure and about accompanying persons if the child leaves without parents.
In the event of the death of one of the parents, a copy of the death certificate must be provided. If the location of one of the parents is unknown, a police certificate is submitted;
Step 3
Registration of a sponsorship letter.
A sponsorship letter is required if the child travels without parents or with one of them. Only close relatives of the child can be sponsored. Documents confirming the degree of relationship and a copy of the sponsor's Russian passport are also required.
The sponsorship letter is drawn up by a notary.
Step 4
Certificate from the sponsor's place of work.
The certificate is drawn up on the letterhead of the organization or enterprise, indicating the address, phone number and date of issue, certified by the company seal. The certificate must indicate the position held and the amount of the sponsor's salary.
Step 5
Certificate from the child's place of study.
Such a certificate can be obtained from the school office.
Step 6
Well, basically all the documents are collected and executed. There are little things left: prepare a copy of the child's birth certificate, make a copy of the first page of his foreign passport, copies of the parents' Russian passports (if the child leaves without their accompaniment), photographs (please note that all embassies have different requirements for photographs, check in advance). Everything is ready - you can take the documents to the embassy.
