Step 1
If one of the child's parents is Russian, apply for Russian Federation citizenship. And it doesn't matter in which state he was born. When a child is born abroad, you should contact the Russian consulate with documents confirming the Russian citizenship of the mother or father. After that, the child will be issued a Russian birth certificate. If the father is a Russian, but the marriage between him and the foreign mother has not been registered, the parent must recognize the child as his own, after which he can transfer citizenship to him in this way.
Step 2
Persons born of two foreign citizens in Russia do not automatically acquire local citizenship. However, such a child can subsequently apply for permanent life in this country if the application for citizenship of one of his parents is approved.
Step 3
When a child is born from Russians abroad, find out the legislation of the country where he was born. In some states, for example, in the United States, the principle of soil operates, on the basis of which anyone born in this country can become a citizen. However, his parents do not automatically receive such a right. The practical implementation of this right depends on the specific situation. For example, if the parents have a permanent residence permit in the United States, it will be easier for the child to draw up the necessary documents. If the father and mother left the country, then the child will have to do it with them. Subsequently, closer to adulthood, he will be able to apply for legalization in the United States, if he retains documents confirming his birth in this country.
