Documents: passport of the child's mother, father's passport, certificate from the hospital and marriage certificate (if any)
Instructions
Step 1
It is very difficult for a young mother, especially a nursing one, to escape from home for a long time. Make a detailed plan of action to save time. All documents must be completed no later than a month after the birth of the child. Monthly valid certificate from the hospital.
Step 2
Find out the opening hours of the regional department of the registry office, the Federal Migration Service, the EIRC and the passport office. Take copies of your passport and husband's passport, marriage certificate and certificate from the hospital. Take personal account statements from EIRTs. Copy all newly received documents. Talk to your husband: he can take on some of the hassle.
Step 3
Get a birth certificate. To do this, provide your passports, marriage certificate and a certificate from the maternity hospital to the regional registry office. If you are married, your husband can also apply to register your child.
If not, then a birth certificate can be issued on the basis of an act of recognition of paternity. In this case, be sure to go to the registry office with the child's father. Information about the father can be recorded according to the words of the child's mother, or not indicated at all at her request. Then the child will bear the mother's surname. In the registry office, along with the birth certificate, you will be given a certificate for receiving benefits for the newborn.
Step 4
Register your child at your place of residence. If you and your husband are registered in different places, decide at which address the child will be registered. The consent of other family members registered in the apartment is not required by law.
At the passport office you will be asked for extracts from personal accounts and house books, a child's birth certificate and his photocopy, passports and their photocopies, a marriage certificate. The birth certificate will be stamped with the registration of the child at the place of residence. Go to the housing office with him and get a certificate of registration of the child and his joint residence with you. You need it to get newborn benefits.
Step 5
Obtain a medical policy at the pick-up point at your local children's clinic or from an insurance company. Take with you the child's birth certificate and the passport of one of the parents (with a stamp of registration in the territory that this clinic serves). Remember, medical care for a newborn under the age of 6 months in our country is provided free of charge, even if he does not have a compulsory medical insurance policy.
Step 6
Visit the district department of the Federal Migration Service and apply for citizenship for your child. To do this, hand over your passports and child's birth certificate. The citizenship stamp will be affixed to the back of the birth certificate on the same day. Now your baby is a new citizen of Russia.
