The final result of the common cause largely depends on how well and correctly the team members are selected. When you start organizing people for a specific purpose, there are a few important things to keep in mind.

Think about the goals of the team

It is worth remembering that the team is created not just like that, but with a specific purpose. People in it must be selected in such a way that the performance of common tasks is optimal. Therefore, you need to think about what roles team members should play in order for the overall result to be most effective. You can start from the functions for which you create a small society.

Having distributed the main roles, describe each of them: what qualities a team member should have in this position, what skills, abilities and talents he should have. After you draw up a plan for the whole team, check again if any functions are duplicated, if there are any gaps, if someone's interests intersect. Competition in the team should be minimal.

Take care of the selection of candidates for the team. Rely on the basic qualities that this or that person should have. The selection can be done in a variety of ways. Conduct testing, interview, competition depending on the tasks that successful candidates will face later.

Having assembled a team, you need to explain to everyone first the general goals of the team, and then the individual tasks. Understand that for the greatest efficiency, a person must immediately see the picture as a whole, be aware of the structure of the society in which he will work, create, and self-actualize.

Conduct a team building session. People should get to know each other, share their experiences. At the same time, you, as a team organizer, will see what goals or hopes everyone has. The training can be carried out in a playful way. However, it must necessarily contain tasks that will help people understand how much they depend on each other. Then in the future, in the process of work, they will value others, respect and listen to other people's opinions.

Distribute work among team members according to their responsibilities and abilities. Only in practice will you be able to see how correctly you acted by taking this or that person into the team. In any case, do not despair. The human factor can play here, and you are not immune from mistakes, like the rest. If required, train or instruct people before starting work.

Monitor the emotional atmosphere in the team. It is important that team members are not only physically, but also mentally comfortable working next to each other. As an organizer, you can make sure there is no misunderstanding between people. Try to resolve conflicts at their very inception and not let problems take their course.
