Due to the fact that your breasts have not yet been developed, and the baby eats very little, lactostasis may develop. This is milk stagnation that can develop into mastitis. To prevent this from happening, get a breast pump. Even a young mom will need a nursing bra and pads for it. Choose a bra one size larger. In the crib of a newborn, pull the sides, hang a canopy, make the bed. Do not forget to spread oilcloth. Also get a separate oilcloth so you can place your baby on a sofa or bed.
Prepare your baby's diapers in advance. In the maternity hospital, they are given out in large quantities, so take at least 15 with you, because it will be difficult to readjust to your home conditions right away.
Buy a basin and slide. Bathe your newborn with a special bath product purchased from a pharmacy every day, and with soap - no more than 1-2 times a week. Prepare a towel of a convenient size so that it is always at hand, because the child needs to be washed after each emptying.
Baby clothes should be washed and ironed. Stock up on pants, undershirts, caps, socks. Choose clothes for the season!
Don't forget the first aid kit! Sterile cotton wool, a remedy for colic, a gas cutter, cotton swabs with a stopper, nipple cream, hydrogen peroxide, potassium permanganate, brilliant green, scissors with rounded ends, etc. This will be enough for the first days, but the list does not stop there, because, Unfortunately, our children get sick quite often.
