At about the age of five, the child begins to worry about imaginary fears. These include darkness, dogs, death, fire engines. The child already has such a developed imagination that he is able to invent fear for himself.

The curiosity of a kid at the age of five is off the charts. The child hears the parents' conversations and takes them very seriously. Fears usually affect those children who are scolded too much or overprotected. These children develop feelings of nervousness and self-doubt. But all sorts of phobias can appear in children without the above components, if these children are too impressionable from birth.

In other words, all children periodically experience some kind of fear. When a child says that he is afraid of something, he must be listened to and told that he is not in danger. You cannot deliberately frighten children with evil witches, the police, or other people's uncles. Also, you cannot show them horror films and sad stories. It is very painful for the baby to perceive the idea that dad and mom will stop loving him if he cannot meet their requirements.

A child's life should be varied, he should play a lot with his peers. The brighter and more fun a baby's life is, the less time he has for unfounded fears. A night light in the room saves you from the fear of the dark. Light is not able to prevent a child from sleeping as much as fear. Gradually, the fear of the dark will completely disappear and the light will no longer be needed.

At the age of five, children are usually intimidated by the thought of possible death. The parent's explanations shouldn't scare the child any more. People usually die in old age from illness. It is necessary to convey to the child the idea of the naturalness of death and at the same time assure him that it will not follow very soon. Even at the age of five, some children may be afraid of animals. You should not strive to force the child to approach the dog if he is afraid of it. Perseverance on the part of the parents will breed the stubbornness of the baby. This fear goes away by itself.

The same is true for the fear of water. Learning to swim by abandoning the baby unexpectedly is possible only as an exception. With most, it doesn't work. The child himself wants to go into the water, even if he is afraid of it. To get rid of most of your baby's fears, you need to play more with him. It is necessary to go to a psychiatrist if the child's fears begin to prevent him from living a full life.

At the age of five, children begin to see physical disabilities and also notice that there are differences between boys and girls. The child begins to ask the parents that are of interest to him, and if there are no answers, he begins to come up with his own versions and, as a result, suffer from the inability to understand some of the questions. You shouldn't see this as an unhealthy sexual interest. If you keep silent about physiological issues, you can give your child a vision of sex as something dangerous. There is no need to arrange a serious lecture either. It is necessary to treat everything easier and give the child the most understandable explanations. It is better to do this with examples.
