There are many ways to determine early pregnancy. They all have different credibility. Some diagnostic methods may well be applicable at home.
Necessary
pregnancy test, thermometer
Instructions
Step 1
As a rule, a woman begins to suspect that she will soon become a mother, from the first days of a missed period. If you suspect pregnancy and want to quickly find out if your assumptions are correct, buy a special test. It is sold in every pharmacy and has a very affordable price.
Step 2
Please note that the higher the sensitivity of the test, the more reliable its result when diagnosed at a very early stage. Most of them are designed specifically for use from the first days of missed periods. If you apply it earlier, it can give a false negative result.
Step 3
If the delay has not yet come, but you want to find out as soon as possible if you are pregnant, contact your gynecologist who can prescribe a referral for testing. If, as a result of the study, it turns out that chorionic gonadotropin is present in your blood, then you are pregnant. HCG is a hormone secreted by the placenta. This method is very accurate, but you need to donate blood no earlier than 7-12 days after conception. Otherwise, the result may be unreliable, since hCG begins to be produced only after the fertilized egg has attached to the uterus.
Step 4
You can also diagnose pregnancy at home by changing the basal temperature. You can only use this method if you measure it regularly. As you know, the basal temperature rises during ovulation, and then gradually takes on its usual value. If fertilization does occur, it remains elevated.
Step 5
Do not mistake basal body temperature measurement as a very accurate diagnostic method. Unfortunately, its increase sometimes signals the presence of any gynecological diseases. In any case, visit a gynecologist who can make a more accurate diagnosis.
Step 6
The ultrasound diagnostic method is used for a period of 3 weeks, when the ovum is already fixed in the uterus. Do not use this type of pregnancy detection without a doctor's prescription. The effect of ultrasound on the fetus has not yet been fully understood, therefore, in the early stages, ultrasound is prescribed only if there is suspicion of an ectopic pregnancy and other pathologies.
Step 7
In the early stages of pregnancy, women usually begin to feel the changes taking place in the body. Listen to your own feelings. Suspicious symptoms include feeling unwell, dizziness, nausea, breast swelling, and soreness. If you feel something like this, be sure to take a test and see your gynecologist.
