Diathesis is a serious disease in children, manifested in the tendency of the baby's body to allergic reactions, respiratory infections, itching, redness of the skin and even the formation of a yellow crust on it, as well as the occurrence of seizures. Diathesis can and should be treated.
Diathesis treatment
Until now, all risk factors for diathesis have not been established. It is believed that its appearance is caused by the mother's unhealthy diet during pregnancy, as well as from the medications she is taking. Moreover, this disease can develop if in the first months of life the child consumes harmful foods with breast milk.
Various creams and medicinal ointments are very popular in the treatment of diathesis, which help to eliminate many of the symptoms of this disease. There are just a huge number of drugs, they are all divided into two groups: hormonal and non-hormonal. The choice should be made not by the mother, but by the attending physician of the infant in accordance with the individual characteristics of the child's body.
Hormonal creams
Hormonal formulations from diathesis are creams that have the most effective effect, they effectively fight disease, thanks to the ability to trigger the child's internal cleansing mechanisms.
The hormonal group includes the following creams: "Elokom", "Advant" and "Celestoderm". The first is used primarily to combat rashes, it has an anti-inflammatory effect and is applied to the affected skin of the baby once a day for a week.
"Advant" is a cream that should be used only from the age of four months. He will not help newborns, but only harm. "Advant" is applied once a day, the duration of the course is no longer than four weeks.
Celestoderm has an anti-allergic effect and is suitable for six months old babies. It is applied to the skin up to three times a day and applied for no longer than 10 days.
Non-hormonal creams
Non-hormonal drugs are also widespread. This group includes the following creams: "Diphenhydramine-zinc", "Elidel", "Fenistil-gel".
The choice of a cream from this group must be approached very carefully, since an incorrectly selected agent can cause an allergic reaction. "Diphenhydramine-zinc" cream is used to eliminate itching and all sorts of dermatoses. It is applied to the affected skin from 2 to 3 times a day and is applied from six months.
"Elidel" perfectly eliminates itching, inflammation, as well as histological manifestations in babies. This drug should be used from three months, rubbing into the child's skin several times a day. The duration of the course is no more than one and a half months.
"Fenistil-gel" requires special precautions, it must be applied to the baby's skin pointwise, so as not to cause an allergic reaction.
