A gynecologist will assist in calculating the date of future birth. In this case, the doctor determines the duration of pregnancy and the date of birth, based on the day of your last menstruation and the size of the fetus when probing the walls of the uterus during examination and ultrasound. Usually obstetric gestational age is calculated by doctors by week. The date of birth is set by gynecologists at 38-42 weeks of gestation. At such times, pregnancy is considered full-term and childbirth can occur at any time.

The ultrasound method allows you to most accurately determine the number of weeks of pregnancy and the term of future birth.
