Issues affecting conflicts between student children and their parents are especially relevant today, because children, becoming in fact adults, still depend on their parents, which creates many problems in communication between them.

During the student period, people prefer to spend time with their peers, thereby pushing communication with their parents as far as possible. Usually, the influence of parents on student children is already very limited, because they are no longer able to control the life of their child, as it was before. The main source of such problems is that parents do not understand the child's inner world and are mistaken in his values, feelings and aspirations.

Very often you can hear from your son: "They don't hear me at all." Parents do not want and do not know how to listen to their sons, smugly believing in their own life experience.

Parents, remember that a student son may have three negative reactions to you: refusal, that is, insubordination; opposition reaction, that is, demonstrative actions of a negative nature; isolation reaction, that is, the desire to stop communicating with parents.

Even with this clear opposition, the children continue to feel some need for your support. It's great if you will be a friend to your son, because as a result of your joint activities, a deep spiritual and emotional connection is formed. It is necessary to find ways to maintain and establish contacts with your son, because he himself wants to share his experiences and talk about the events of the day.

But, on the other hand, very strong guardianship can deprive your son of independence and the ability to enjoy freedom, which will increase the confrontation between you.

Young people who are satisfied with communication with their parents are distinguished by a special ability to independently assess and analyze people in their circle of contacts.
