The nutrition of children aged from one to three years is considered a transition from breastfeeding (adapted formula) to the nutrition of an adult. During this period, the way of culinary processing of products, their assortment and quantity, is gradually changing.

Step 1
The food of a one-year-old child should not be homogeneous (homogeneous) in consistency, but contain small pieces (2-3 mm in size). If the baby has already crawled out 8-10 milk teeth, it is necessary to give him pieces of slightly stale bread, crackers, cookies and soft fruits. These products stimulate the chewing apparatus.
Step 2
Children who have reached 12 months can increase the one-time amount of food up to 300 g. At the same time, it is recommended to take it 4 times at intervals of 3-4 hours (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner). Babies under 1, 5 years old and weakened children can enter an additional meal (for example, lunch).
Step 3
In the diet of a one-year-old child, along with animal products (meat, dairy products, fish and eggs), plant products should be present (vegetable oils, cereals, root vegetables, herbs, seasonal vegetables and fruits, berries). Onions and garlic are gradually introduced.
Step 4
It is better to consult a pediatrician about weaning the baby from the breast (mixture). He will assess the general condition and development of the baby. You can replace breast milk (or formula) with cow's milk, fermented milk products (baby kefir, natural yogurt).
