Fairy tales attract children with their plots, unusual stories, miracles and transformations. The younger the child, the less often he distinguishes a fairy tale from reality and perceives its plot as a story told about his life. As they grow older, children realize that not everything in a fairy tale is true, that this does not happen in life, but for some reason they begin to like it even more. At the age of 5-6, preschoolers are already ready to learn what a fairy tale is.

Instructions
Step 1
Show your 2-3 year old child a book of fairy tales with colorful illustrations. This is necessary because the imaginative thinking of the baby is not yet sufficiently developed. At this age, children listen to and understand fairy tales about animals: wild and domestic. The stories that happen to them in the work are similar to the life stories of ordinary people, so the child easily imagines himself as a participant in this fairy tale.
Step 2
Explain this analogy to your child. Imagine himself and his friends as characters. The only thing that becomes fabulous and unusual is that the actions are performed by animals.
Step 3
Invite your kid to play a fairy tale with you, wearing a character's mask-cap on his head. Let the child choose his own role. When playing the role, draw the child's attention to the fact that he is now acting "like a wolf in a fairy tale." Does it happen in life that he himself does that too?
Step 4
Connect the fairy tale with reality. Remember together the times when children do the same as in a fairy tale. Vanechka drank water from a hoof (from a puddle) and became a kid. And what can become of a person if he drinks dirty water or picks up and eats dirty food on the street? Explain that each fairy tale has a lesson, warning, and even punishment.
Step 5
Tell a 4-5 year old child that fairy tales are people's dreams of a good, beautiful, successful life. In adults, just as in children, not everything works out in life, so people come up with “fabulous helpers”: a flying carpet, running boots. Dreams help you achieve what you want, so now there are real planes, trains and cars, which allows people to move quickly. And what does the child dream about?
Step 6
Compose together a fairy tale about his dream, by analogy with a fairy tale that the child likes. Draw this fairy tale in several plot pictures, sign the text under them.
Step 7
Choose a fragment of a fairy tale that has educational value, and demonstrate to the child that a fairy tale is also a hint on how to act in a difficult life situation. For example, in the fairy tale "Sivka-burka" show your child why Ivan managed to catch the thief, but his brothers did not. He did not sleep, sat on a pebble, watched, and his brothers fell asleep and did not see the thief. You can show patience, will and receive a valuable reward not only in a fairy tale.
