It seems that only yesterday the baby was brought from the hospital, and a whole year has already passed. It's time to think about how to celebrate the first birthday in your life, so that both the hero of the occasion and the guests would like it. The birthday boy only seems foolish, but he already understands something, so he may well participate in some games. And we must not forget that it is he who is the hero of the occasion.
What to prepare?
You probably have a lot of what you need to organize a children's party. You need:

- items for serving children and adults' tables;
- gifts for the birthday man;
- souvenirs for guests.
Preparing invitations
Think about who you would like to invite to your birthday. You can bring together adults and children, but you can also divide the celebration into two days. For example, first gather all the relatives, and on the second day arrange a party for the kids. If you invite everyone at the same time, think about which group will do what. Make invitation cards. The text can be very simple. Just write who you are inviting, on what occasion and at what time. On sale you can find ready-made postcards, you just have to enter the names and date. At the holiday, you can tell fortunes. For example, try to find out who the birthday boy will become when he grows up. Prepare a few items and put them in a bag. You can take a typewriter, a ball of thread, a book, a ring, a hammer, a set of pencils, etc. The right to pull out the object is given to the baby.
If you have a color printer, you can make invitations in a graphics editor you know and print. Tickets can be sent by mail or delivered in person.
Movie star or fashion model?
You've probably photographed your child many times. Choose the most successful pictures, make a slide film that can be shown to guests at the party. A film with the participation of the birthday boy will also look very good. Assemble it in advance, compose a suitable text, add music.
Competitions for adults
Think about games and contests. This could be, for example, a quiz about how well your guests know the birthday person. You can ask about when the child was born, what his eyes are, what are the names of his mother, father, grandmothers, grandfathers, cousins, what he likes to eat, what toy he likes best, etc. Prepare souvenirs for the winners. It can be fridge magnets with a portrait of the birthday boy, cardboard medals and even just candy. Prepare pieces of paper and pencils. Write the names of the body parts on each piece of paper. Let the guests try to determine who the birthday person is more like - mom or dad. Make a program. For example, at the very beginning you can watch a slide film, then sit at the table for a while, hold quizzes and contests, and end the celebration with a video. But the order may be different.
Don't forget to count the results. The system is simple. Opposite each name, the participant puts an icon in the column "dad" or "mom". The results are summarized.
Young guests are a special concern
If you are having a children's party, think about what the guests of your birthday person will do. Much depends on age. Among the guests there can be both half-year-olds and children of preschool and even school age. Come up with some games. You can start your holiday with the traditional "Loaf". This is followed by a treat (by the way, do not forget to ask in advance if anyone is allergic to certain foods). Expand each toy, show it to the guests, tell how they play with it. It is very good if some of the guests have acting skills. Then you can invite your favorite fairy-tale hero to the kids - Matroskin, Dunno, Bunny, Fox, Buratino. For older kids, you can organize a fabulous quiz, with kids - dance in circles. You can also invite a professional animator. Just don't forget to tell him the age of the participants. Despite the fact that the birthday person is still very young and easily distracted, some moments can hold his attention. It will certainly be interesting for him to look out of the window at the fireworks or hot air balloon launched by his father or grandfather.
