Spoon feeding a baby is a challenge for some parents. Various distracting maneuvers can be used to attract your child to food. If he refuses to eat, just give him the opportunity to get a good hunger.
Necessary
spoon, plate of food, toy
Instructions
Step 1
Choose the right spoon for your baby's age. When choosing it, be guided not only by size, but also by safety. If the baby is still without teeth, take a silicone spoon. When the baby is already with teeth, give preference to a plastic or regular iron spoon. Do not take too deep, as there will always be food in them.
Step 2
While feeding, place your baby flat on a fairly high chair so that he does not slip away from you. If the child is naughty, give him food in almost symbolic portions. With a small filling of the spoon, it is easier to get into such a small capricious mouth. When feeding is not progressing at all, try using distractions. Give the baby spoons, rattles, or some other object that will distract your baby. While your child is busy with a toy, feed him faster. When he gets tired of toys, give him the opportunity to tinker with porridge on his own. While the baby is busy with the porridge, you feed him.
Step 3
For older children, during feeding, you can use verbal distraction rather than toys. If you decide to feed such a fidget, just tell him fables or fairy tales. When the baby periodically opens his mouth in surprise, you will quickly give him another portion of porridge. Just don't go too fast, so as not to harm the baby.
Step 4
If your child flatly refuses to eat, give him the opportunity to get hungry. Also consider the size of your child, as small children need less food. Do not stuff your baby with food every half hour. When he wants, then feed him, and do not force him to eat. Just remember that the child's body works well, so the baby himself knows his diet. Do not interfere with the wise work of nature - and you will not have problems with feeding.
