Step 1
On the Internet there are many templates for wall newspapers, frames for them and decorations, you just have to print, color and add text and other elements. But it's better to come up with something of your own, original.
Step 2
Depending on the topic, decide how the newspaper will look like: a familiar rectangular sheet of paper or in the form of a house, tree, steam locomotive, ship or something else. Determine the composition, where what will be located, what text you write, where to place pictures or photographs. The rest of the space will be occupied by decorative elements, but make sure that there are not too many of them so as not to clutter up the canvas.
Step 3
Use a gradient fill for the background. It is necessary to dilute the gouache with water (the concentration is determined empirically), moisten a sponge in this solution and vigorously run it over the Whatman paper from one edge to the other. If there should be two colors, then take two sponges and draw them from the edges to the center. Then dry the Whatman paper by pressing down along the edges with weights.
Step 4
You can decorate with a background pattern that appears. If you draw a pattern with wax crayons, and cover the sheet with watercolors on top, the drawing will show through the paint.
Step 5
The stencil can be cut out of thick cardboard and then transferred to paper. Another very effective type of stencil is figures surrounded by haze. To do this, you need to collect slate chips, dip a cotton swab into it and draw it around the figure attached to the Whatman paper.
Step 6
Children really like to put seals, and an adult will need to carefully cut this seal from a raw potato. If you put two colors on the palette, without mixing them, and dip the seal in them, the print will turn out to be two-color.
Step 7
Various parts and materials can be simply pasted onto whatman paper. The work will become more varied in texture, more interesting. These can be silhouette figures or volumetric objects. Some elements can be made movable, for example, an opening window.
