Have you decided to get pregnant? For this to happen as quickly as possible, you need to know the time of the onset of ovulation (maturation and release of the egg, ready for fertilization). After all, it is on this that the period in which you will be able to conceive a child most likely depends. You can more accurately determine the day of conception in several ways.
Necessary
Calendar, thermometer, ovulation test, microscope
Instructions
Step 1
Before choosing any of the methods, calculate the approximate time for ovulation on the calendar. It usually occurs 12-16 days before the onset of menstruation. If you have a regular menstrual cycle, then you can easily determine the approximate date. If the cycle is irregular, it is best to see a specialist first. You may need to undergo a course of treatment.
Step 2
Measurement of basal temperature. Start measuring your basal temperature from the beginning of your cycle - on the first day of your period. Do this every day at the same time. It is measured rectally, in the morning after six hours of sleep, without getting out of bed. Take a thermometer reading every day. During the onset of ovulation, it should rise by 0, 4 - 0, 6 degrees. This will be the best day for conception.
Step 3
Ovulation test. Buy some ovulation test strips. Start testing from the day it should be approximately. Follow the instructions supplied by the manufacturer. When the result is positive, it means that the body is ready for fertilization.
Step 4
Examine the biological fluid under a microscope. Use a regular microscope or buy a mini microscope at a pharmacy. In the morning, before eating and brushing your teeth, apply a drop of saliva to the glass and look at it through a microscope. If there is no clear pattern on the glass, only random dots, then there is no ovulation. With the approaching ovulation, fragments of a pattern resembling a fern are formed. It becomes as clear as possible the day before ovulation. After ovulation, the pattern is blurred again.
Step 5
Ultrasound monitoring. The most intuitive method. This method is also suitable for women with irregular menstrual periods. But in this case, the survey will have to be carried out more often. The most important thing is to choose a good clinic with modern equipment and a reliable specialist doctor who, using an ultrasound scan, will tell you the exact day of conception.
