Winter overalls for a child - how to choose

If the temperature outside has dropped below zero degrees, you need to put on warm outerwear for your child. And a jumpsuit is just a must in cold weather. Firstly, it is monolithic and does not allow wind and moisture to pass through. Secondly, putting one thing on a spinning baby is easier than two. Therefore, many mothers choose this particular type of winter outerwear for their children.

When choosing a winter overalls, you should pay attention to many factors. The first is the lining. Modern synthetic materials are very light and warm, unlike previously used feathers and padding polyester. Best suited for babies are those that maintain a comfortable microclimate inside the clothes (isosoft, etc.). The peculiarity of these heaters is that they do not allow moisture to pass from the outside and retain enough heat inside, while simultaneously releasing sweat. Thus, even if the baby sweats while playing, he will not be wet.

In addition to the insulation, you should pay attention to the lining. Best of all, if it is made of natural materials - cotton or fleece. These fabrics are excellent at allowing sweat to pass through, preventing your baby from getting wet. In addition, natural materials do not cause allergies, you can be calm about your baby's skin.

But the top layer of the overalls fabric should be dense, synthetic. Such materials do not allow moisture to pass through and do not wear out for a very long time. There are models in which the bottom of the sleeves and legs are reinforced with rubberized fabric. It is very convenient, the baby's hands and feet will definitely remain dry even after walking in wet snow and making snowmen.

Everything else - the colors of the jumpsuit, the presence or absence of fur on the hood - are more aesthetic factors than practical ones. The only thing that can be important in the exterior is the presence of reflective stickers. They will make walking the dark winter streets safer.

Choosing a jumpsuit for spring and autumn

Demi-season overalls should not be very warm so that the baby does not get hot. One layer of light insulation is enough. But all the other criteria remain the same - a natural lining, which creates comfort for the baby's skin, and a waterproof synthetic top layer.

It is worth paying attention to how the bottom of the pants is made. There are two options. The first is when it is sewn from lightweight waterproof fabric. It is quite comfortable, the bottom of the overalls can be tucked into rubber boots, and it will not get dirty. But at the same time, stepping into a deep puddle, the child can wet his feet by scooping up water with his bootleg. Therefore, most often, parents prefer the second option, when the pants at the bottom are reinforced with rubberized fabric and have an elastic band. In this case, the risk of getting wet is minimal.
