The thermoregulation system of newborn babies has not yet been formed. During this period, it is very important to dress the child correctly, so as not to overcool, but also not to overheat him. In May, the weather is changeable, and you shouldn't make a mistake dressing your baby for a walk.
Instructions
Step 1
The neonatal period does not last long - only one month. At this time, the child is only adapting to the world around him, and you must provide him with the most comfortable conditions both at home and on the street.
Step 2
Traditionally, it is recommended that you dress your toddler the way you would dress yourself plus another layer of clothing. But this statement is rather general and does not take into account the individual characteristics of the child. If he was born premature, weak, he may need to be dressed warmer than a large and strong baby.
Step 3
The issue of clothes for a newborn is also decided depending on your attitude to swaddling. If you prefer diapers to loose-fitting clothes, then dressing your baby outdoors, use them in various combinations with a blanket or an envelope for newborns. In particular, at temperatures above +20, wrap the baby in a thin and knitted diaper, from +10 to +20 - in a thin, flannel (knitted) diaper and an envelope (blanket). Of course, the head of a newborn needs a hat: in warm weather, you can do with a flannel or knitted hat, and in cool weather, add a woolen one.
Step 4
If you prefer clothing that does not restrict your child's movement, use the following guidelines, taking into account the different temperatures outside. May weather is unstable, so consider all options.
Step 5
At temperatures from 0 to +10, put on the baby: bodysuit or blouse with long sleeves, romper, scratches, knitted hat, terry socks, velor jumpsuit, woolen hat, warm overalls or envelope.
Step 6
At temperatures from +10 to +20, the combination of clothes will be as follows: bodysuit or blouse with short sleeves, scratches, thin cotton jumpsuit, knitted hat, terry socks, velor or woolen jumpsuit, if necessary - a warm jumpsuit or envelope.
Step 7
If it is above +20 on the street, dress the newborn lighter: bodysuit or blouse with short sleeves, scratches, thin cotton jumpsuit, knitted hat, socks.
Step 8
Keep in mind that when you carry your baby in your arms, hugging him to you, he receives the warmth of your body and will not freeze. If you are taking him in a stroller, take a baby blanket with you to cover the baby if necessary.
