If you want to raise an independent child, give him your own corner or room in the house, where he will be a full-fledged owner. Explain that you need to play in your room, and after playing, you should definitely put things in order.
Show your baby that your room is clean and tidy. Setting an example to a child is much more effective than trying to explain something in words. Explain to the baby that he is the owner of his room, so he must put things in order in it, but do not forget to take into account the child's age. He should not be forced to do what he really cannot do due to his capabilities. It is better to help him with difficult tasks, while not trying to do everything for the child. If the child does not want to clean up after himself, offer to start a joint cleaning, in which he will take an active part.
When you ask your child to put away toys, speak kindly to the child so that cleaning the room does not look like a punishment. You will begin to clean up with him, say and show what and where should lie, so that the child knows that each thing should have its place and get used to it. Together with the baby, come up with original boxes for toys so that the child is interested in putting everything in its place. It's good if cleaning toys looks like a continuation of the game. For example, when removing the bear, tell the baby that the clubfoot goes to bed, so you need to send him to the "house", which can be a container for toys or a cabinet drawer.
If the child refuses to put away some toy, hide it discreetly, and after a while ask where it is. Tell him a story about a toy that the owner did not put in place, and she went to look for another, more accurate owner who cleans up his toys every day.
Cultivate neatness in your child, but at the same time do not press on him, but help him understand that it is more convenient and better this way. Explain that when every toy and thing is in its designated place, then you do not have to look for it.
If the child categorically refuses to put the toys away, then hide them for a while and tell the child the reason why you "confiscated" them, and also indicate the time when you will return them. Do not return items earlier than the specified period, under any agreement.
Be sure to praise the child if he cleaned everything for himself. Step by step, you will come to the fact that the baby will learn to be neat.
