All children love animals, and very different ones. Many in childhood want to have a small pet, but their parents refuse them, thinking about the upcoming difficulties. Children don't care about problems, they don't think about them, they just want a puppy, a kitten or a hamster. Does a child really need a pet?
For many, animals become best friends, family members and an integral part of life, and in the development of children, they can play an important role in the psychological, social, biological aspects. First of all, a pet will teach your child to be disciplined and responsible. After a small animal appears in your house, the child will begin to understand that the pet must be taken care of and respected, since it is not a toy, but a living creature that requires affection. When the baby asks you for permission to have a pet, then the child should be explained that he will be responsible for the animal he has tamed. So the baby will learn to take care not only of himself, to be responsible for the consequences of his actions and to understand responsibility. This is especially important for children who do not have siblings.
Actively playing with the pet, the child himself moves and develops physically, and also, the animals relieve stress and improve the well-being of your baby. Pets contribute to the development of the child intellectually. From an early age, a child, together with his friend, will begin to learn about the world. In the process of studying a pet, the child also learns new facts about other animals, people and the world around him in general.
How to choose the right animal?
It is better to start the first pet from 3-4 years old, but while the parents will take care of it. During this period of life, the child is just beginning to learn about the world, so at first he will only observe how the parents behave with the pet, and then he will try to do something on his own. At this age, it is better to have small and cute animals (hamsters, rabbits, parrots). Parents should always be attentive, because the child can behave in a peculiar way with the animal and show his attitude towards him. At 5-6 years old, the child already begins to take care of the pet himself, but under the supervision of parents who will help and set an example. From 7 years old, the animal is almost completely left to the child. At this age, you can already have a cat or dog, which will be like your own child for the child.
Also, before you start a pet, you need to consider the fact of the dangers that may occur. Allergies, infections, improperly raised animals are all important and cannot be ignored. In case of allergies, the pet will have to be abandoned. But do not forget about the animal, which, like a child, needs help, protection and love. The pet must be vaccinated and monitor the health of the animal.
