In some cases, pediatricians recommend giving newborn babies drugs that help normalize the intestinal microflora. Among them is bifidumbacterin, which helps to populate the intestines with beneficial microorganisms, without which normal digestion is impossible.
It is necessary
- - Bifidumbacterin;
- - boiled water.
Instructions
Step 1
Bifidumbacterin for newborns, produced in the form of a dry powder, requires preliminary dilution with boiled water. The instructions for the drug say that each dose is diluted in 5 ml of liquid. In practice, pouring 25 ml of water into an infant, obtained by diluting the contents of one vial, is almost impossible. In order for the drug to get inside, dilute it with less liquid.
Step 2
Pour a teaspoon of boiled, but not hot, water into a bottle of powder, wait for minutes to completely dissolve, after which the drug is ready for use.
Step 3
If possible, give it to your child half an hour before meals, twice a day. But for newborns, it is not forbidden to add bifidumbacterin to the mixture during feeding.
Step 4
The course of treatment depends on the severity of the disease and is usually recommended by the pediatrician. But taking bifidumbacterin for less than a week does not make sense, even if there are marked improvements in intestinal activity.
Step 5
Give the child 1-3 ml of liquid bifidumbacterin as a prophylaxis for dysbiosis three times a day. This packaging has its drawbacks, since after opening it is not subject to further storage. For medicinal purposes, liquid bifidumbacterin is given twice a day, 5 ml 30 minutes before meals. Duration of admission is from 20 to 30 days.
