Instructions

Step 1

Pediatricians recommend introducing yolk into the infant's diet from 5 months for "artificial", from 6 months for infants.

Step 2

The yolk is a strong allergen. If the introduction of complementary foods with fruit or vegetable puree is complicated by the occurrence of allergies, then inject the yolk very carefully.

Step 3

Chicken eggs should only be fresh. Before cooking, be sure to wash the egg well, check it for freshness. To do this, immerse the egg in cold water: if it floats or stands upright, throw it away without regret. Boil the egg for 10-15 minutes. The child can only be given a hard-boiled egg.

Step 4

The yolk must be carefully separated from the protein, which is contraindicated in children under one year old. Rub the yolk with breast milk or formula. Give your baby the yolk in the morning before the main feed. The first portions of the yolk should be at the tip of the teaspoon. Watch the body's response throughout the day. If everything went well, you can increase the portion a little the next day. So gradually, by the age of one year, the child can be given half of the yolk.

Step 5

The introduction of yolk into the child's diet provides the growing body with proteins, fats and vitamin A. The yolk contains almost all the necessary minerals: iron, potassium, calcium, phosphorus.

Step 6

If the child doesn't like the yolk and tries to spit it out, disguise the yolk in other products. It can be served for lunch, mixed with vegetable puree.
