If in the summer a child is forced to stay at home during the day, for example, because of bad weather or for another reason, the task of adults is to come up with a fun activity for him.
Outside, summer is the time for outdoor games in the fresh air. But it also happens that on a day off, it suddenly rains, so the child does not know what to do with himself.
Seating a child in front of the TV all day is not an option. You can give him a few simple tasks or suggest simple but interesting games. A busy child will not interfere with adults, who may, for example, have a cleaning plan, and will also master something new.
Simple games with kids for a rainy day
"An important message." For this game, you need to inflate a ball, and write a poem, anecdote or a small message on it. Blow off the ball and hide it so that the child can find it. The child needs to explain that an important message is hidden somewhere, which is written on the ball, and ask for help in finding it. Kids are interested not only in looking for a balloon, but also in inflating it in order to make out the letters, and an adult will read what has been written.
"Aircraft". While mom is busy in the kitchen, the child is given paper with a request to build several airplanes from it. The master must assign a name to each aircraft, and present himself as a pilot. Mom will take on the role of an air traffic controller - she will allow takeoff and subsequent landing at the airfield called "Kitchen".
Activities with older children
And here is a task that will be interesting for both children and adults - "Map of desires". You will need a large sheet of paper, glue, felt-tip pens, magazine and newspaper clippings. Each participant in the game must think about what he would like most of all, and draw a desire on a piece of paper or perform an application, a collage on this topic. There may be several desires - well, each of them must be visually formalized.
During the creative process, it is useful to talk with the child, ask why he wants exactly this, when, how he imagines the process itself. If it works out, the completed wish card should be saved - after a few months or years it will be interesting to look at it and note what has already come true.
"Sea in a Bottle". Pour water into a clear plastic bottle. Add a little blue or light blue food coloring, tiny toys, shells, sparkles and other suitable little things there. If a trip to the sea is planned soon, you can dream up with your child, imagine who he would like to see there.
You can make a "jellyfish" from a piece of cellophane. It is better to just take a bag - the area in its center is wrapped with thread, resulting in the body of a "jellyfish". Cut the remainder into strips with scissors. Medusa is launched into a bottle. In conclusion, pour a small amount of vegetable oil there, close the lid, shake everything. Now you can observe the "marine life", and for a child it can be even more interesting than a home aquarium.
