Today, in many kindergartens and schools, parents are asked to create a portfolio for their child. However, not all mothers know what a children's portfolio is, and how you can properly arrange it. An adult needs a portfolio in order to collect all their high-quality work and, if necessary, demonstrate them to the employer. A portfolio for a kid pursues the same goals: to compose a kind of "dossier" on a child, to preserve for many years the first creative successes of the baby, his funny statements, his awards and achievements.

How to compose a children's portfolio

It is necessary

  • - a folder with a hard cover (archive is best);
  • - folders-inserts with perforation;
  • - children's photos;
  • - drawings, appliques and other baby crafts;
  • - diplomas, certificates of merit and certificates.

Instructions

Step 1

Decide for what purposes you are making a children's portfolio. Do you want to reflect a specific period in your baby's life (for example, from birth to 2 years)? Or would you like to make a thematic portfolio of travel, New Years or walks? In addition, the treasured folder may contain information reflecting the child's success in any area, for example, swimming or drawing.

Step 2

The first (title) page should contain information about the baby. Place the child's last name, first name, patronymic, and date of birth on the cover.

Step 3

On the second sheet, prepare the contents of your folder. There is no specific portfolio structure, because each baby is individual, and only parents know what kind of information they would like to keep about him. Start with 5-6 sections, and in the process you may decide to expand your portfolio.

Step 4

Design the pages dedicated to the baby. The child's zodiac sign, his name day, character, habits, preferences, what he likes or dislikes. Be sure to supplement the section with bright photos taken at different periods of the baby's life.

Step 5

The next section should be devoted to the child's family. Add information about parents, grandparents, sisters and brothers here, and accompany the story with family photos and pictures of each family member individually.

Step 6

Be sure to make a section dedicated to the creativity of the baby. His first inept scribbles and more confident drawings, paper snowflakes, appliqués, in a word, everything a child can be proud of. Bulky crafts (for example, from natural materials or plasticine) can be photographed and also placed in a folder.

Step 7

The following sections only depend on parental imagination. You can design pages dedicated to travel, pets, baby's hobbies, his friends, favorite heroes of books and cartoons. And you can collect a collection of interesting sayings and words of the crumbs. Human memory is imperfect, and thanks to such a hand-made portfolio, your little one's precious childhood moments will stay with you forever.
