Therefore, start teaching him beautiful writing at least a year before school. Create a positive home environment and use a range of techniques to help your child master calligraphy.

Step 1
Develop your toddler's fine motor skills through games and fun activities. Start sculpting salt dough figurines. In addition to the production itself, the result of creativity can be painted. Draw simple shapes for the child and let's cut them out of paper. For girls, you can buy sets of paper dolls with clothes. Collecting puzzles and constructors will help in the development of fine motor skills. In between games, give your child a palm massage, do recreational gymnastics and exercise.
Step 2
Create templates for your child to practice calligraphy. Draw a piece of paper following the example of a school recipe: narrow lines and oblique lines crossing them. Write sample letters in calligraphic handwriting. But they need to be placed not only at the beginning of the line, but alternating with places for the child to repeat. If the pattern is not repeated correctly, the next example will be a neat letter, not a broken version. Do not move on to a new stage until you have consolidated your previous success. In addition to working with prescriptions, write quatrains with your child. Thanks to this, he will learn to write not only neat letters, but also whole passages of text.
Step 3
Explain to your child how to sit while writing. The correct posture not only helps to form a neat handwriting, but also allows you to maintain the desired posture position and not spoil your eyesight. The child should sit up straight and bend the knees at right angles. Put your hands on the table and do not rest your elbows on it. The head should be tilted, but the distance between the eyes and the notebook should not be less than 20 cm. The pen should be taken with the thumb and forefinger, pressing it against the upper phalanx of the middle one. The tip of the writing instrument should be directed towards the right shoulder (for a right-handed person) or left (for a left-handed person).
