Follow the instructions, some types of sculpting materials require subsequent firing in the oven.
Step 2
Sculpt a doll food with salt dough. When mixing it, it is important to use fine salt, so the surface of the doll products will not be rough and ugly. Shape fruits or vegetables, dry thoroughly and fire in the oven. Finished products need to be painted, but it is better to use acrylic paints rather than the usual gouache or watercolor. They are easy to apply to any surface and, after drying, do not stain hands or fabric.
Step 3
Purchase ready-made kits for creativity in children's stores, they can be found on the shelves with plasticine. They usually consist of several molds with which you can create impressions, such as waffles, cakes, muffins, and a special mass of two or three colors. This plasticine is safe for children, and after complete drying it becomes similar to plaster.

Use materials at hand. Modern packaging gives an infinite number of ideas. For example, a loose cardboard egg container can serve as a base for waffles or doll cake layers, while silicone laces that attach tags to clothing can become spaghetti. The materials at hand should be combined with sculpted details, for example, for a salad in a toy hamburger, you can use a piece of green plastic or cloth, and use colored beads to decorate a cupcake or a cake made of salted dough.
