The birth of a child brings a lot of joy and excitement to his parents. From the first days of his life, a baby needs a variety of things and, first of all, clothes. Choosing the right one is quite a responsible task.

Be sure to ask the hospital in advance what you need to take with you for the newborn from clothes. Most maternity hospitals use everything of their own, and only diapers are required from parents.

In the maternity hospital, the baby is usually put on undershirts: first thin, then thick, diaper, cap and swaddling. Linen is changed daily, sometimes more than once. In some private maternity hospitals, a newborn is allowed to wear a T-shirt, diaper, cap, overalls, mittens. At the same time, the child can not be swaddled.

When you go home, you need to be guided by the weather conditions. First, you can put on thin and warm undershirts or a T-shirt and a warm overalls. If you have put on your baby's undershirts, wrap him in two diapers: a thick one and a thin one. Do not forget about the cap or soft kerchief for the baby's head.

In the cold season, be sure to take a blanket to the hospital (depending on the weather - warm or light). You can do without a blanket. Then put on a still warm blouse and pants, as well as woolen socks over a light jumpsuit. Place the child in an envelope (warm or light).

Upon returning home from the hospital, the following clothes should be prepared for the child:

- two or three undershirts or light blouses;

- three warm blouses;

- two or three sliders if you use diapers, or four or five if you use gauze diapers;

- one warm socks and two or three pairs of cotton;

- if you are planning to swaddle your baby and will use diapers, then you will need thin and flannel diapers (4 pieces each);

- if you use gauze diapers, you will need twice as many diapers;

- bonnets or hats - 2 pieces, you will need a warm hat for the winter;

- one weekend overalls or envelope;

- two pairs of scratches and mittens for winter time;

- two pairs of booties, thin socks, two or three pairs.

This set of clothes may vary depending on the capabilities and preferences of the young parents.
