Instructions
Step 1
Choose the main character with your child. It can be an animal, human, magical creature, or any other character. Read a short story or verse that features a character. You can make riddles, watch a cartoon, pictures. Give your character a nickname or name.
Step 2
Invite your child to describe their own character. Ask leading questions. What is he (s)? Adult or child? Big or small? What color is his coat (hair, clothes)? What are the ears, tail, hair (straight or curly)? Add the list of questions yourself, depending on the character you choose.
Step 3
Construct a character from simple shapes - oval, circle, square, rectangle. Show your child how to draw it. For example, a lamb consists of ovals of different sizes (body and ears), rectangles (legs), circles of different sizes (a larger head and a small tail).
Step 4
Invite your child to portray a fictional character. With the nuances that he described. 4-5-year-old children draw quite independently. Only a correction is needed. Adjust the degree of help yourself depending on the age of the child.
Step 5
The child paints the character. Cuts it out. Sticks to another sheet. Describes where the hero is now. In the house, walking, maybe in the pasture? Draws and colors the selected habitat. The project is ready.
