ESure experts have compiled and published statistics, from which it appears that the average married couple quarrels more than five times a day. This is about 2450 times a year.
"Bickering on a daily basis is part of healthy, normal family relationships," Nikki Sellers (head of the company) told reporters. "The study showed (and it was attended by 3,000 people who were in a civil or official marriage) that scandals often happen - in a day five or seven times."
So why do spouses fight so often? Often the issue of distribution of funds becomes a bone of contention (especially with a family budget, where the incomes of both spouses are combined).
Another common reason for bickering is the reluctance of one or both to do boring homework.
The harmony in marriage is disturbed by the preference for certain programs on TV, snoring at night and the daily menu.
The spouses sort things out about 90 times a year because of the upbringing of their children. With the same frequency, they quarrel over dissatisfaction with their sex life.
