Diagnostics serves to determine how the child possesses certain knowledge, abilities and skills. The teacher needs to know this before he begins to study with the baby and even with the student. Incorrectly carried out diagnostics significantly reduces the effectiveness of learning, since for some children the proposed tasks may be too difficult, but for others - vice versa.

Necessary

  • - paper;
  • - pen;
  • - a computer with a text editor and test tasks;
  • - "Kindergarten education program" or programs in school subjects;
  • - test tasks for the corresponding type of activity.

Instructions

Step 1

Find out what a child of a certain age should be able to do for the activity you are about to diagnose. The data can be taken, for example, in the "Kindergarten Parenting Program" or school programs. Don't be surprised if your subject's skill level is higher or lower than those indicated in the program. Any document of this kind is designed for the average child. Your baby or even all the children of the group may lag behind in some way, and in some way ahead of their peers. If you are diagnosing at the beginning of the school year, take the data from the section on the previous age group.

Step 2

Watch your child. Many skills are visible with the naked eye. For example, you can find out without any test tasks if he knows how to dress, make the bed, fold toys. Watch him in different situations. Using this method, you can find out not only cultural and hygienic skills, but also communication, motivation for learning, the level of development of motor activity, fine motor skills and much more.

Step 3

Create play situations to diagnose communication skills. Put the child in a position where he will have to ask a peer or an adult for something. For example, he is on duty and he needs to take spoons, but the nanny is standing in the doorway and does not let him in. See if the kid can turn to an adult and ask him to skip, or if he is trying to get to the objects he needs in other ways.

Step 4

Play a business game with older preschoolers or schoolchildren. Its content depends on the age of the children. For example, to test the coherent speech of preschoolers, you can organize a game "Conference" or "Presentation", when each participant will have to tell something coherently. The life experience of schoolchildren makes it possible to simulate very different situations with them.

Step 5

You can diagnose the level of development of various skills using test items. Tests are not necessarily done in a typographic way, although in many cases it is necessary to use the standard ones. Your own creativity is perfectly acceptable. For example, you might want to know if all the children in the group can draw geometric shapes. You can give them the appropriate task in drawing class or during free activities and see how they cope. As tests for preschoolers, use in-ear toys, all kinds of constructors. Test assignments for schoolchildren are the most common test work. The shape can be different. Sometimes you can use the traditional form of writing assignments on a whiteboard. But try to use control and measuring materials, as in the final state certification. Use computer diagnostics as well. In any case, children must understand exactly what is required of them.

Step 6

Remember to record your results. The most convenient way is to enter entries into the plate. It can be filled out in a magazine or on a computer in a text editor. In the leftmost column, write a list of children, in the first row above the rest of the columns, the skills you are going to diagnose. It is necessary to determine their level regularly. The first diagnosis is carried out at the beginning of the school year or before the introduction of a new technique. The last one is at the end. But no one forbids diagnosing children at regular intervals.
