From generation to generation, parents ask the same question: "How to raise good children?" Someone thinks that a good child is obedient, meekly following all the instructions of his father or mother. For some, the most important thing in upbringing is that children study well. There are also such parents who too literally understand the saying “A healthy mind in a healthy body”, almost by force accustoming a child to sports. Where is the truth?

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, a father and mother need to understand a simple but very important truth. Your child is not your property. He owes you a lot, but it does not follow from this that you have the right to constantly decide everything for him, to demand obedience from him. Do not abuse parental authority! Respect your child as a person. Let him take the initiative, but, of course, within reasonable limits. Otherwise, you risk either raising a timid, infantile person, or hardening the child, turning him against yourself.

Step 2

Be an example to your child in everything. Remember that a growing little person, like a sponge, absorbs everything that he sees and hears. Create an atmosphere of love, mutual respect, goodwill in your home. Even if you are tired or annoyed, do not lash out at your loved ones. Suppose a parent is explaining to a child that one must always be polite and behave well. Will there be a lot of sense from their correct words if after that the husband yells at his wife, or the wife starts to grumble, reproaching her husband for some kind of oversight? The effect will be exactly the opposite: the baby will conclude that adults cannot be trusted.

Step 3

Some parents are so obsessed with the desire to raise a future Nobel laureate from a son or daughter that school years become a real hard labor for the child. Only excellent grades in all subjects are required of him. Of course, you need to keep track of your child's progress in school, but you can't turn learning into a fix idea. If a son or daughter is clearly not given a subject, do not make it a tragedy. So you will only instill in the child a disgust for learning.

Step 4

From an early age, teach your baby to work by giving him feasible assignments. Encourage his initiative in every possible way, praise: "What a skillful assistant you are!" Avoid a categorical, commanding tone, instead emphasize that his work is important and useful, because he helped tired and busy parents.

Step 5

Do not impose your tastes and hobbies on your child. Let him decide for himself what is interesting to him, what he wants to do in his free time from school. Of course, you can prompt, persuade, but it is better if the final choice remains with the child.

Step 6

In short, if you want to bring up good children, behave in strict accordance with the biblical commandment: "do to other people as you would like them to do to you."
