In Russia, the retirement age for men begins when they reach 60 years, and for women - 55 years. During this time, the person can stop working and start receiving monthly benefits. To do this, you need to contact the Pension Fund at your place of residence.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure you are at retirement age. The right to this is available for men over the age of 60 and for women over 55, if their work experience is at least 5 years. Exceptions are some types of hazardous or physically difficult industries, whose workers may retire early. People with insufficient work experience receive a social pension, which is issued five years later than the regular labor pension.
Step 2
Start preparing the required documents. Get a work book from the employer if you plan to quit, or a certified extract from it. Get a certificate of your salary for five years, which you can choose from any period of your employment. Of course, it is best to choose the years with the highest income. Also, for retirement, you must have an official residence permit indicated in your passport, a certificate of pension insurance. If you have minor children or other dependents, you need a document confirming this.
Step 3
Contact the branch of the Russian Pension Fund at your place of residence. You can find out the coordinates of the institution on the organization's website, where the addresses of the territorial offices are given. Give all the collected papers to the FIU staff and apply for a pension, a sample of which will be provided to you there. Once your application has been reviewed, you will be notified and invited to receive your pension certificate. You just have to choose a way to receive money - by mail, to a bank account or home delivery.
Step 4
If you are unable to visit the FIU office due to a health condition, an official representative (relative, friend or lawyer) can do so. The representative must have a notarized power of attorney.
