On average, a newborn baby needs to change diapers more than ten times a day. The comfort of the child depends on how correctly and accurately this is done, therefore it is very important for young parents to learn how to swaddle their newborn correctly.
Necessary
- - changing table or board;
- - diaper;
- - dishes with warm water and a sponge;
- - wet baby wipes;
- - cream.
Instructions
Step 1
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water and make sure you have everything you need for changing on the changing table or board. Place your baby gently on the changing table in a comfortable and safe way.
Step 2
Remove dirty diapers. Spread the edges to the side, take your time, slowly slide the front part from the abdomen to the back, and with your free hand lift the baby and pull out the diapers.
Step 3
Wash your child. Soak a sponge in warm water, then rub the baby gently and thoroughly. You can also use baby wipes or wash your baby under the tap in warm water, if that's convenient for you. Spread a cream or ointment on the treated surface against rashes and inflammation.
Step 4
Place the baby gently on a straightened, clean diaper so that his torso is resting on the diaper and his head is free.
Step 5
Take one end of the diaper and wrap it around your baby, tuck this edge under his back. Leave the baby's opposite handle free.
Step 6
Take the other end of the diaper and wrap the baby. Do not tighten the diaper too tight, as this could harm the baby.
Step 7
Straighten the bottom edge of the diaper evenly and fold it up.
Step 8
Wrap the resulting edges behind the child's back one by one, turning the child over so that it does not cause inconvenience and so that he does not fall.
Step 9
Wrap the remaining "tail" behind the resulting "pocket".
Step 10
Remove dirty diapers and products used during changing. Wash your hands and changing table thoroughly.
