The time for kindergarten is over, and your recently little and unintelligent kid is going to first grade. This event is important for both the child and his parents. There is no need to worry that this condition is not passed on to your first grader. Better make an effort to prepare the child for a new step in his life.
Instructions
Step 1
Talk to your child about school. Tell us that this is a new time in life, that it is different from kindergarten. School is not a continuation of the kindergarten, there is no opportunity to play, run, communicate all day long. Tell him that at school every day he will learn something new, important. He will learn a lot there, make new friends. Cultivate your child's interest with your memories of school, funny and curious stories about you.
Draw his attention to the fact that school is needed precisely for study, and already during school time, friends and new interests may be made. Present this information slowly, and do not pressure or lecture your child about the importance of learning in life.
Step 2
Don't scare your child with school. He must himself want to go into adulthood. It is not necessary to intimidate him with phrases about school, about teachers in case of bad behavior; that he will be taught and taught a lesson there. These conversations will not lead to anything good. A child can completely hate school without ever getting there.
Step 3
Your first grader is still a child, so take advantage of this. Play school with him. Place his toys at impromptu desks, put a teacher. Play a variety of school-themed scenes.
During the games, it will not be superfluous to remember the rules of conduct in the classroom and at recess. Show on toys how to answer in lessons, how to sit at a desk. Explain why you cannot talk during class, you cannot take out your phones. Tell us how the changes are going, what needs to be done in such a short period of time.
Step 4
In your free time from work, take your child for a walk to school. This will help the child remember the route. While walking, talk about the rules of behavior on the road: how and when to cross it, how to walk along the sidewalk if there are no sidewalks. The time will come when your child will walk home alone from school. In this case, you can now draw his attention to the fact that you cannot talk, and even more so go somewhere with strangers. Learn to protect yourself from stray dogs and try to get around them in a roundabout way.
Step 5
At the end of kindergarten, teach your child to be independent. In the future, this will be needed not only by the baby, but also by you. You will be less worried if your child can come home from school on his own, warm up his own lunch, take a walk, do his homework. In this situation, you can trust the child, and it costs a lot. How nice it is to come home one day after a hard day, and your dinner is hot on the table.
Step 6
Shopping for stationery, a backpack and textbooks will be a pleasant moment in preparing for school. Go shopping together, let your child actively participate in shopping. It is important for a child to choose something for himself, while at the same time he feels like a part of adult life.
Step 7
A few weeks before school, reduce the time spent in front of cartoons and computer games. Explain to your child that during school hours he will have little time for such a pastime, that it is more important to do his homework first.
Step 8
Introduce your child to a daily routine. Start earlier to wake him up, enter the obligatory meals, washing. At school there is no time for constant snacks, the child's body must get used to eating at a certain time.
To keep the child in the mood in the morning, enter a short exercise. A few vigorous exercises will cheer him up so he won't be mad at you for waking you up so early.
