There are many signs associated with the first haircut of a one-year-old baby. Keep in mind that it has been scientifically proven that cutting hair or shaving it baldly (as they do now) has little or no effect on hair growth. The thing is that the number of hair follicles and the rate of hair growth are laid down at the genetic level. This means that if mom and dad have thick hair, then their child will have the same.

Be aware that the quality of the hairline is significantly influenced by such factors as the baby's health, the correct selection of cosmetics for hair care (there are special baby shampoos and balms), and the nutrition of the baby. The approximate hair growth rate in a child under one year old is one centimeter per month, respectively, the need for a haircut arises solely for hygienic reasons.
Step 4
Place your baby in a chair or hold him in your arms. It is important to distract the child, as the procedure for cutting hair is not yet known for him, so he may be frightened. Ideally, mom cuts her hair and dad distracts, or vice versa. Sing your favorite songs to your baby, have fun talking with him.
Step 5
Comb through your bangs and trim them a couple of centimeters. You can also cut your temple hair a little if it gets in the way of your son or daughter. This will be enough.

A haircut "to zero" using a typewriter, and even more so shaving the head can scare the baby, for a long time discouraging the desire to carry out hairdressing procedures. In addition, this can lead to irritation of the delicate scalp, as well as mechanical damage to the hair follicles.

There is also such a sign: on the baby's birthday, when he turns one year old, put him in the arms of one of the godparents, and the other cuts the child. First, cut the curl at the top (bangs), then below, then from the right temple, then from the left (in the shape of a cross). Do not throw away the trimmed curls, but hide them in an envelope. This is necessary in order for the baby to grow up healthy and happy.
