Young children are able to enjoy things that seem mundane to an adult and not worthy of attention. Their smile can be caused by a butterfly, a leaf floating in the water and even a pile of garbage. However, as they get older, cheerful children very often turn into serious and gloomy adults.
Laughter for no reason is a symptom
Growing older, the child is surprised to note that not everyone shares his joy from the world around him. Moreover, some adults decry her. For no reason, only narrow-minded people laugh, only loafers can watch ants running along the path to the anthill for hours, and you can spend time much more productively - tidying up a room or learning a poem. Often, adults themselves kill the desire and ability to enjoy life in children, raising the next generation of busy and unsmiling people. Happy children are usually noisy because they are not used to holding back their emotions. They laugh, jump, rush around the apartment, distract their parents, trying to share their happiness. Tired mom or dad can upset such a child: ask him not to interfere, shout to stop making noise, send him to his room. The kid does not understand the true reason for the discontent of the parents, and a chain is built in his brain: it is bad to be happy.
Always in a hurry
Usually adults have more problems than children. Their thoughts are busy with excitement before the upcoming delivery of an important project, calculating the family budget, reasoning where to find a part-time job so that there is enough money for everything. Being immersed in oneself, it can be difficult to look around and notice the things that were so pleasing in childhood: a cloud resembling a hippopotamus, flowers blooming in a flower bed, a broom forgotten by a janitor, on which you can try to take off. Children are much more carefree, and they have more free time. And they use it in the most productive way - they enjoy life.
Not everything is new - well forgotten old
You have not lived for the first year and have seen a lot. For a child, the world around him is still full of secrets. He looks at the butterfly with a smile, while you, perhaps, can even say its specific name in Latin. For a baby, a butterfly is something beautiful and amazing, for you - an object that you studied at school and university. There is nothing to be done - an adult is much smarter and more experienced, and a lot is already familiar to him.
What to do?
Just because you are an adult does not mean that you can no longer enjoy life carefree. If once you have forgotten how to do this, nothing prevents you from regaining this ability. For example, walking down the street, force yourself to be distracted from your own thoughts and look around. Take note of everything that is pleasing to your eyes: someone has hung pots with blooming geraniums out of the window, you can see a funny advertising poster opposite. Travel more so you can see something new and amazing. And try to communicate with children: they will be happy to explain to you what you should be happy about.
