Step 1

Step 2

Fill in each column daily, measuring the indicators at the same time (for example, at noon). The air temperature value is determined by a thermometer located outside the window. Keep in mind that he must certainly be in the shade, otherwise the readings will be incorrect. Atmospheric pressure should be determined using a barometer.

Step 3

The strength of the wind is on the Beaufort scale (in points), and its direction is according to the smoke coming out of the chimneys or according to the movement of the clouds of the lower tier. You can place a weather vane in the schoolyard and use a compass - they also make it possible to determine the direction of the wind. Notice whether the wind is gusty or flat.

Step 4

In the "Cloudiness" column, write down information about the appearance of the observed cloudiness, the presence or absence of gaps. If there are no clouds at all, put a dash. If there are not many clouds, set it to “Cloudy” (half-shaded circle), if the whole sky is covered with clouds, set it to “Cloudy” (full-shaded circle).

Enter the precipitation data in the column of the same name "Precipitation". It should record information about the nature and phase of precipitation (Heavy snow, light rain). If there was no precipitation, put a dash. Mark information about various natural phenomena that interest you (for example: thunderstorm, rainbow, haze, fog, hail) in the column "Special phenomena".

Determine the average daily temperature of each day (the sum of the observed temperatures is divided by the number of times). For example, you looked at a thermometer in the morning, lunchtime, and evening. Write down the readings, add them up, and divide by three. The result is the average daily temperature.

Step 7

Use the data of the weather station, if you cannot determine any parameter (for example, atmospheric pressure or the strength and direction of the wind), look at the weather forecast. Such information can be easily obtained using the Internet. However, you should not abuse this method, because you need to learn how to conduct independent observations of the weather.

Step 8

If you decide to observe the weather using a special computer resource, then this will free you from the technical burden and will allow you to concentrate on the content of the activity. The student is engaged in collecting information, and its fixation is taken over by a computer program. She saves the date of observation, the information entered, introduces the phases of the moon, the length of the day and folk signs. In addition, such programs automatically create a monthly report that includes minimum statistics and general weather changes over the past month.
